Looking Back on 2023:

As I reflect on 2023, I had high expectations for a less hectic and more profitable year. My initial goal was ambitious – to generate over $1 million in revenue. However, the reality was a whirlwind of activity. We wrote a book, revamped our signature program, created new offerings, launched a VIP coaching program, and fine-tuned our done-for-you services. The year turned out to be one of creation, rather than the sit-back-and-make-a-million-dollars scenario I envisioned.

However, I don't let setbacks discourage me. In fact, I'm optimistic about the energetic shifts and lessons learned in 2023 propelling us forward in 2024. The clarity gained about financial aspects is a key takeaway, paving the way for impactful changes and adjustments.

Learning and Adapting:

What did you discover about yourself or your business in 2023 that prompted realizations and adjustments? This kind of insight is invaluable, offering a chance to make meaningful changes in the new year. Learning from our experiences positions us to make 2024 a year of growth.

Stages of Business:

It's essential to recognize that businesses operate at different stages and seasons. For us, 2023 was a year of creation and refinement, while 2024 is about leveraging what we've learned to grow our brand and reach more people. Your business might be in a different stage – perhaps in the creation or proof-of-concept phase. The key is to stay focused on your unique journey.

Goals vs. Resolutions:

Now, let's delve into the distinction between goals and resolutions in five key areas:

  1. Clarity of Intent:

    • Goals are specific, measurable, and time-bound.
    • Resolutions are broader declarations without the specificity found in goals.
  2. Flexibility and Adaptability:

    • Goals allow for adjustments as circumstances change.
    • Resolutions may lack adaptability, leading to frustration in unforeseen circumstances.
  3. Implementation Strategies:

    • Goals involve breaking them down into actionable steps.
    • Resolutions may lack a systematic approach, making them challenging to implement.
  4. Mindset and Focus:

    • Goals foster a forward-thinking mindset.
    • Resolutions may emphasize change without providing a clear path forward.
  5. Evaluation and Reflection:

    • Goals come with measurable criteria for regular assessment.
    • Resolutions may lack evaluation metrics, hindering progress reflection.
